Memory lane

What a trip to look at Will Steacy's blog today and see his Germantown Friends School ID. Our school seal is burned into my brain so I had such an immediate reaction to his post. It's titled "Where Have the Years Gone?"--he must have been in sixth grade when I graduated (which was in 1993, but for some reason I don't have my card from senior year. You'll notice I'm wearing the same vest in two of the photos. Niiiice). I'm about Edie's age in the striped tank photos. Where have the years gone? Tell me about it...

GFSness! wow.I am amazed you still have your ID. Funny that they never change. It makes me want to hunt for mine. Also, I like how you appear to be wearing the same outfit for your GFS and RISD ID's. And Will Steacy...I remember him.
It's funny because I'm basically the opposite of a pack rat--I hate useless clutter and am really anal, but I also hold on to very specific nostalgic things like important letters, school IDs and the like, so I have one box full of the stuff. I guess I must not have liked my senior year photo which is why I only have my junior ID. I really did like that white shirt/black vest outfit. I also used to wear my dad's suit jackets. I was into the menswear look. Would be very cool if Will started a trend among GFS photographer/bloggers where we all put up our pictures. Will's doing quite well for himself in the photo world, and another fellow GFSer Phoebe Washburn was in this year's Whitney Biennial (but she does installation/sculpture). Behold I have set before thee an open door...
